In the Spring of 2018, my husband and I bought our first home in the beautiful rural and peaceful town of Redding, Connecticut. Set on a 2 acre lot adjacent to a small horse farm, this 1-story 1960’s Ranch-Style home was beaming with endless opportunities. Although dated, it had been well maintained throughout the years which allowed us to tackle projects at a manageable and affordable pace. We were determined to invest as much of our own blood, sweat & tears into this house as possible - leaving only skilled labor to the professionals! Although it will always be a work in progress (welcome to the world of an interior designer!), we have finally reached a point where our home genuinely reflects our lifestyle and design aesthetic. A bright, modern and open-concept ranch home, infused with Scandinavian elements whilst honoring its’ beautiful rural natural surroundings!
